Scott Ritter: Washington Discouraged by Ukraine War Progress

Scott Ritter, a military analyst and former US Navy intelligence officer, has stated that Washington is increasingly discouraged by Ukraine’s performance in the war against Russia. According to him, Ukraine is “resorting to anything” to continue this conflict, a situation that has raised concerns within American political and military circles.

Ritter, referring to developments on the ground, added that Russia holds a superior position and has achieved gains on the battlefronts. He warned that the Ukraine war may enter a new and “very frightening” phase, one that could further complicate regional and international dynamics.

The analyst believes that the Russian economy remains stable and that Moscow is actively pursuing diplomacy on the international stage. He emphasized that Russia, by advancing a multipolar strategy, is striving to counterbalance US hegemony and holds the upper hand economically and politically.

Ritter also described NATO’s condition as “weak,” stating that the alliance lacks the resources and capacity to effectively stand against Russia. He concluded that, given the current circumstances, the likelihood of a Russian victory in this war is high.
