Taliban Police Seize 45kg of Drugs in Kabul and Farah

Taliban police have seized 45 kilograms of narcotics in Kabul and Farah, the group’s counternarcotics department said.

The department said 31 kilograms of drugs were discovered and confiscated in Gulistan district of Farah province, while another 14 kilograms were recovered at the Khairkhana gate in Kabul.

The Taliban administration also said four people had been arrested in connection with the transfer of the narcotics. According to the department, their cases will be handed over to judicial and legal authorities after completion.

Gulistan district is one of the districts of Farah province in western Afghanistan, while the Khairkhana gate is also considered one of the major transit routes in Kabul.
