Hajj Ceremony Begins as Pilgrims Prepare for Day of Arafat

With the official commencement of the Hajj ceremony, hundreds of thousands of Muslim pilgrims have entered the Mina area near the city of Mecca to prepare for the Day of Arafat and perform other rituals of this significant Islamic obligation.

The Day of Arafat, considered one of the most important stages of Hajj, will take place tomorrow. After settling in Mina, pilgrims will proceed to the plain of Arafat according to the planned schedule. Being present in Arafat is a fundamental pillar of Hajj, where millions of Muslims from around the world gather every year.

Among this year’s participants, thousands of Afghan pilgrims are also present, having traveled to Saudi Arabia to perform the Hajj. After completing the necessary administrative procedures and preparations, these pilgrims are now joining Muslims worldwide in carrying out the Hajj rituals.

The Hajj rituals are held annually on specific days of the month of Dhu al-Hijjah and consist of a series of devotional acts in the city of Mecca and surrounding areas, including Mina, Arafat, and Muzdalifah. The ceremony is regarded as one of the largest religious gatherings in the world.
