The Taliban’s Ministry of Guidance, Hajj, and Religious Endowments has announced that the transfer of 30,000 Afghan pilgrims from their accommodations in Mecca to the Mina area began and was completed today. This relocation coincided with the arrival of Yawm al-Tarwiyah and the official commencement of the Hajj rituals. According to the ministry, the transfer of pilgrims was carried out according to a pre-planned schedule, and the pilgrims are now preparing to perform the other rituals. Yawm al-Tarwiyah falls on the eighth day of Dhu al-Hijjah, during which pilgrims proceed to Mina to continue the pilgrimage ceremonies. Reports also indicate that more than 1.5 million pilgrims from various countries around the world have traveled to Saudi Arabia to perform the Hajj. The pilgrimage takes place annually with the participation of Muslims from all over the world in the city of Mecca and its surrounding areas.
