Putin Announces Russia-China Trade Surpasses $200 Billion Amid Growing Strategic Partnership

Vladimir Putin, President of Russia, announced that Moscow and Beijing have reached an unprecedented level in their relations, with the volume of trade between the two countries surpassing $200 billion. He emphasized that nearly all financial transactions between Russia and China are conducted using the ruble and the yuan.
Speaking ahead of his upcoming trip to China, Putin stated that the upward trend in trade between the two nations continues. According to him, the implementation of a visa-free policy between the two countries is also welcomed by Moscow, as this measure facilitates increased travel and direct interaction between Russian and Chinese citizens.
The Russian president described the strategic relationship with China as “stabilizing” on a global scale and added that the cooperation between the two countries is not directed against any third party. He affirmed that Moscow and Beijing are committed to deepening their partnership based on good neighborliness and for the promotion of global peace and prosperity.
Putin noted that bilateral cooperation is actively developing in political, economic, defense, and humanitarian fields. He also expressed appreciation for the approach of Chinese President Xi Jinping toward long-term cooperation with Russia and stated that deepening bilateral ties will be a central topic in upcoming talks in Beijing.
