The Department of Information and Culture of Takhar, under Taliban administration, has announced that more than 100,000 tourists have visited the recreational areas of the province since the beginning of the current solar year. According to this department, these tourists have traveled to Takhar from various provinces across the country.
Hekmatullah Hamidi, the information officer of this department, stated that based on registered statistics, approximately 100,000 people have come to Takhar to see its natural attractions. He emphasized that the moderate climate and lush nature have made Takhar one of the most important tourist destinations in the northeastern part of the country.
Residents and tourists say that colorful flowers, especially tulips, alongside the green plains and high mountains, give a special charm to the Takhar-Badakhshan highway. They believe these natural landscapes relieve the fatigue of travel and encourage many passersby to take short stops to enjoy the scenery.
Takhar is a province in northeastern Afghanistan, and with its hills, high mountains, and green lands, it hosts a large number of domestic tourists every spring season.
