Taliban Border Police Chief Calls for Improved Services at Spin Boldak and Torkham Crossings

The head of the Taliban border police has urged officials at the Spin Boldak and Torkham border crossings to enhance services and facilities for Afghan migrants and to address their problems “seriously.”

Mawlawi Hezbollah Afghan made these remarks today during a meeting with the officials of the two border points, emphasizing that the process of providing services to returnees and travelers must be improved.

Spin Boldak in Kandahar province and Torkham in Nangarhar province are among Afghanistan’s most significant border crossings with Pakistan, experiencing heavy daily traffic of migrants and travelers.

This comes as many returnee migrants from Pakistan have repeatedly complained in recent months about the lack of facilities, overcrowding, and delays in addressing their issues. Despite Taliban officials’ emphasis on improving services, it remains unclear what concrete steps have been taken to resolve these ongoing challenges.
