Israel Launches Fresh Attacks on Southern Lebanon Despite Ceasefire

Media reports indicate that Israel has violated the declared ceasefire in southern Lebanon by carrying out several air, drone, and artillery attacks. These strikes targeted parts of Lebanon’s southern governorates, with multiple residential areas and city outskirts coming under fire.

According to Al Jazeera, at least two bombing runs were conducted around the areas of Kafr Kila and Hadatha in southern Lebanon. Additionally, three drone attacks targeted the Nabatieh Al-Fawqa region, while two more strikes hit Burj Rahal and Al-Mansouri.

Reports also indicate that the Arnoun area was targeted by airstrikes. Furthermore, Israeli artillery shelled the surroundings of Kafr Tebnit, Nabatieh Al-Fawqa, and Harouf.

Southern Lebanon has witnessed repeated military tensions in recent years between Israel and groups based in these areas. The repeated violations of the ceasefire risk complicating the security situation in the region and heighten concerns about the potential escalation of conflict.
