Five Afghans Arrested for Attempting Illegal Entry into Mecca

Security forces responsible for overseeing the Hajj pilgrimage in Saudi Arabia have arrested five Afghan nationals for attempting to illegally enter the city of Mecca. According to the Saudi Gazette newspaper on the early hours of Friday, 18th of Sawr, these individuals tried to enter the city without official Hajj permits.
The report states that the detainees attempted to reach Mecca on foot through desert routes. Saudi authorities have confirmed that the individuals are being prosecuted for violating the special regulations and directives related to Hajj, and legal procedures against them have begun.
Saudi Public Security forces have urged residents and pilgrims to adhere to Hajj regulations and to report any violations to the relevant authorities.
Every year, Saudi Arabia imposes specific restrictions and regulations to better manage the Hajj pilgrimage and ensure the security of pilgrims. According to these regulations, only those with official Hajj permits are allowed to enter Mecca, and violators face legal consequences.
