Poland Ready to Host US Troops Withdrawn from Germany, Offers to Share Costs

Poland’s Ministry of National Defense has announced its readiness to host U.S. troops if the United States decides to withdraw some of its forces from Germany, offering to cover part of the costs associated with their deployment.
A spokesperson for the ministry told RIA Novosti that Poland is willing to contribute to the expenses related to the relocation and stationing of American troops. According to the official, this move is part of strengthening regional security and expanding strategic cooperation between Warsaw and Washington.
Earlier, CBS News reported that the U.S. Department of Defense (Pentagon) is planning to pull about 5,000 American soldiers out of Germany.
Based on statements from U.S. officials reflected in the report, this decision follows President Donald Trump’s dissatisfaction with NATO members’ level of support concerning Iran. So far, no further details have been released regarding the timing or implementation of this plan.
