Fazlur Rehman Strongly Criticizes Military Operations in Khyber Pakhtunkhwa
Maulana Fazlur Rehman, leader of Jamiat Ulema-e-Islam Fazl (JUI-F), has described the security and humanitarian situation in the Khyber Pakhtunkhwa province as deeply concerning, alleging that Pakistani military forces are targeting residential areas with rockets.
He stated that during these operations, civilian areas are attacked, exposing residents to serious security threats. According to him, these actions have heightened worries among local families.
Fazlur Rehman further claimed that security forces, after entering people’s homes, take away the bodies of the deceased. He said that families are then pressured to admit that the victims were killed due to activities related to “terrorism.”
Khyber Pakhtunkhwa, which borders Afghanistan, has witnessed security tensions and extensive military operations in recent years. These recent remarks from the JUI-F leader come amid reports of growing humanitarian concerns in certain parts of the province.
