Early Flood Warning Systems Activated in Two Districts of Kandahar

The Disaster Preparedness Authority has announced the activation of early warning systems for natural disasters in three areas within the Spin Boldak and Sha Wali Kot districts of Kandahar province.
Najibullah Rahmani, spokesperson for the authority, told Tolonews that these systems have been established to provide timely information before natural events, particularly floods, occur.
According to him, these systems alert local residents ahead of potential dangers so they can evacuate vulnerable areas promptly and take necessary measures to protect their lives and property.
Kandahar province has experienced seasonal floods in recent years, events that annually damage some residential and agricultural areas, highlighting the need for preventive mechanisms.
