Russia Condemns Ukraine’s Attacks on Black Sea Oil Facilities as ‘Terrorist Acts’

Russia’s Foreign Ministry has strongly condemned Ukraine’s recent attacks on energy facilities at the port of Novorossiysk and oil tankers in the Black Sea, calling the actions “terrorist” and a threat to global energy stability.
Maria Zakharova, the spokesperson for the ministry, stated in a press release that such operations targeting vulnerable energy infrastructure are not only civilian in nature but also traditionally exempt from international hostilities. She warned that continued strikes pose a risk to maritime security in the Black Sea and could disrupt energy supplies to global markets.
Zakharova also noted that Kazakhstan, which is involved in the Caspian Pipeline Consortium project, has lodged a protest against what it described as the third “aggressive” strike on the pipeline. She added that Turkey has also voiced serious concerns over the situation.
Russian officials claim that such attacks hinder peace efforts and escalate tensions among regional states. In recent weeks, Moscow has repeatedly accused Kyiv of deliberately targeting critical energy infrastructure in strategically important maritime areas.
