UN: Humanitarian Aid Routes to Gaza Remain Closed Despite Prisoner Exchange

The United Nations has announced that despite the implementation of the first phase of the prisoner exchange between Hamas and Israel based on the recent peace agreement, no full and unobstructed access for aid convoys to the Gaza Strip has yet been provided.
Various departments of the international organization based in Geneva have stated that over 170,000 tons of food, medicine, and humanitarian supplies are ready for immediate transfer to Gaza, but the necessary permits for the free passage of this aid have not yet been issued.
The UN has emphasized that all border crossings must be opened immediately and without preconditions for humanitarian aid so that those in need in Gaza can access essential resources for survival.
Israel’s blockade of the Gaza Strip has intensified the humanitarian crisis for thousands of civilian residents in the area; although the peace agreement amid ongoing conflicts had raised hopes, the continued restrictions on urgent aid deliveries have seriously threatened those hopes.
