Over 21,000 Compensation Claims Filed in Israel Following Missile Attacks Since February 28

According to official data from Israel’s Tax Authority, since the outbreak of the war against Iran on February 28, a total of 21,552 compensation claims have been registered for property damages caused by missile attacks. These claims have been submitted to a special fund dedicated to property damage compensation.
Based on the statistics, 14,190 claims relate to damage to buildings, residential complexes, and homes. Additionally, 2,099 claims pertain to damage to equipment and contents, 4,798 claims to vehicles and buses, and 465 claims to other types of damage.
The released information indicates that around 17,670 claims, equivalent to 82 percent of the total cases, have so far been assessed by experts.
Among the cities, Tel Aviv-Yafo has the highest number of claims with 4,489 submissions. It is followed by Be’er Sheva with 2,840 claims and Arad with 2,005 claims.
Beit Shemesh with 1,390 claims and Dimona with 1,282 claims are also notable areas reporting significant damages. Meanwhile, Petah Tikva registered 778 claims and Rishon Lezion 538 claims.
Ramat Gan with 500 claims, Bnei Brak with 473 claims, and Ramla with 343 claims are other cities listed among those affected, reflecting the distribution of damages across several major urban centers.
At the regional center level, significant differences are seen as well. The Tel Aviv region leads with 9,359 claims, followed by the Ashkelon region with 8,330 claims. Akko has 2,445 claims, and Tiberias records 931 claims.
The Jerusalem center has 440 claims, and the Eilat region has registered 47 compensation claims.
