Taliban Administration Begins Inspection of Government Employees Across Provinces and Capital

The Taliban’s Ministry of Labor and Social Affairs has announced the commencement of inspections and evaluations of government employees’ attendance in offices across the capital and provinces. According to the ministry, this measure is being implemented following the conclusion of the Eid al-Adha holidays and based on an order from the Taliban administration’s prime minister.

In a statement released on Monday, it was noted that appointed inspectors are tasked with assessing employees’ presence and adherence to their duties within the emirate’s offices. This inspection process includes attendance recording and evaluation of administrative task execution.

The Ministry of Labor and Social Affairs stated that the objective of this move is to provide timely services to the country’s residents and to prevent delays and disruptions in administrative affairs. However, in recent years, many citizens have repeatedly complained about slow procedures in some government offices and difficulties in accessing services—a matter that calls for transparent supervision and ongoing accountability from the Taliban administration.

Administrative experts emphasize that improving public service quality requires, beyond monitoring employee attendance, structural reforms, hiring qualified personnel, and establishing accountability mechanisms within government offices.
