Pakistan Alleges Taliban Use Drug Addicts for Suicide Attacks and Employ Indian-Made Drones

Ahmed Sharif Chaudhry, spokesperson for the Pakistan Army, announced that Pakistani forces targeted an ammunition depot and drones associated with the Taliban administration in an attack on Kabul. He emphasized that military facilities were hit in the strike and described reports of civilian casualties as “incorrect.”
Speaking to Geo News on Wednesday, Chaudhry claimed that most Taliban fighters do not wear military uniforms and use drug addicts to carry out suicide attacks. These statements have been made without an official response from the Taliban administration so far.
The Pakistan Army spokesperson also alleged that the Taliban have used Indian-made drones in their attacks against Pakistan. This claim emerges amid ongoing security tensions between the two sides.
Regarding the recent attack on a building in Kabul, reportedly a drug addicts’ shelter according to local sources, Chaudhry said the intensity of the explosions suggests the presence of a large weapons cache at the site. However, the lack of transparency and limited access for independent media in Taliban-controlled areas has made independent verification of these claims difficult.
In recent months, security tensions between Pakistan and the Taliban administration have escalated, with both sides accusing each other of harboring and supporting armed groups — a matter that has raised concerns over increasing regional instability.
