Over 9.4 Million Afghanis in Aid Distributed to Vulnerable Women and Children in Kunar

The Taliban’s Department of Labor and Social Affairs has announced the distribution of cash, food, and non-food assistance worth more than 9.4 million Afghanis to 823 vulnerable women, orphans, and orphaned children in Kunar province.

According to a statement released by the department, these aid items were distributed to needy individuals in several districts of Kunar. The initiative aims to support vulnerable families.

The distributed items included flour, rice, cooking oil, tents, blankets, and some other basic necessities.

However, local residents continuously emphasize that needs remain widespread across many areas of Kunar and that intermittent aid cannot address ongoing economic challenges. Social experts also stress the importance of transparency in identifying rightful beneficiaries and the continuation of support programs to ensure aid reaches those truly in need in a fair manner.
