Taliban Authorities Report 1,200 Residents Trained in Technical Skills in Khost Province

The Taliban’s Ministry of Labor and Social Affairs has announced that 1,200 residents of Khost province have received technical and vocational training and were simultaneously provided with tools and equipment.
Mawlawi Mohammad Zahid Ahmadzai, Deputy Minister of Labor Affairs, stated at a ceremony that so far, about 10,000 individuals across the country have graduated from similar technical and vocational training programs. He added that these programs have been implemented in several provinces and will continue.
The Taliban official also mentioned that in the future, technical and vocational training programs will be extended to returnees, nomads (Kochis), and prisoners—groups that in recent years have faced serious livelihood challenges and limited access to employment opportunities.
While the Taliban administration aims to reduce unemployment and train skilled labor through these programs, experts emphasize that without creating real job opportunities, ensuring equal access to the labor market, and economic stability, such initiatives alone cannot control the widespread unemployment crisis in the country.
