Kazakhstan Supports Completion of Incomplete Health Projects in Balkh Province

The Public Health Directorate of Balkh Province announced the meeting between Rahmatullah Mansour, head of the directorate, and Olzhas Mataev, advisor to the Kazakh embassy. The discussion focused on expanding health services, addressing existing challenges, and strengthening the health sector in this province.
According to the information provided, the Kazakh embassy advisor pledged that his country would assist in completing the partially built cancer hospital, the unfinished infectious diseases hospital, and the incomplete burn hospital. These projects are among the essential needs of Balkh residents for specialized health services.
Additionally, Mataev promised that Kazakhstan would support the enhancement of the emergency department of Balkh Regional Hospital and collaborate on constructing a 200-bed provincial hospital in the province, a project that could partially address the shortage of treatment beds.
The Public Health Directorate of Balkh added in a statement that, quoting the Kazakh embassy advisor, training programs to improve the capacity of healthcare staff are also planned as part of future cooperation. This initiative aims to improve the quality of healthcare services in the province’s medical centers.
