Ten-Day Child Vaccination Campaign Set to Launch Across Afghanistan

The ‘Afghanistan Polio-Free’ organization has announced that a rapid vaccination campaign involving multiple types of vaccines will begin tomorrow across Afghanistan and will continue for 10 days.
On Friday, August 30, the organization stated on its X page that children will receive vaccines based on their age and health needs during this program.
According to the released information, the campaign will administer oral polio drops, inactivated polio vaccine, measles, pentavalent, tuberculosis, and diarrheal vaccines to children.
The ‘Afghanistan Polio-Free’ organization had previously urged families to cooperate with health workers to ensure that all eligible children benefit from these preventive services.
Despite ongoing vaccination programs, access to vaccines in some areas of the country continues to face challenges such as insecurity, remote locations, lack of healthcare facilities, and low awareness among some families; issues that have made the complete eradication of polio and other preventable diseases difficult.
