Kremlin Announces Russia-US-Ukraine Peace Talks to be Held in Abu Dhabi

The Kremlin has announced that peace negotiations between Russia, the United States, and Ukraine will take place in Abu Dhabi. These tripartite talks are scheduled for November 10 and 11 (corresponding to Aban 19 and 20) and will focus on ending the war in Ukraine and discussing postwar security arrangements. Dmitry Peskov, the Kremlin spokesperson, confirmed that Vladimir Medinsky, an aide to the Russian president, will lead the country’s negotiating delegation. Concurrently, U.S. officials are working to achieve progress in concluding the conflict, now in its fifth year, through these meetings. The last round of peace talks, mediated by the United States, was held in February. Steve Witkoff, the U.S. representative, previously stated that Washington will bring together the Russian and Ukrainian delegations in Abu Dhabi to discuss de-escalation measures and security agreements post-conflict. These negotiations come amid regional developments and international tensions that have impacted inter-country relations.
