Iran’s Revolutionary Guards Claim Destruction of U.S. F-35 Fighters in Jordan

Iran’s Islamic Revolutionary Guard Corps (IRGC) announced that in a missile attack on Al-Azraq Airbase in Jordan, three U.S. F-35 fighter jets were completely destroyed and three others were heavily damaged. According to a statement released by the IRGC, the attack occurred this morning in retaliation for what it described as “a U.S. attack on two residential homes on Qeshm Island.” The operation was reportedly carried out by the IRGC Aerospace Force through the launch of several ballistic missiles.

The statement also claimed that several U.S. officers and technical personnel were killed as a result of the strike. Independent details regarding the extent of damage and possible casualties have not been confirmed by other sources to date.

In another part of the statement, the IRGC accused the United States of using military bases in Jordan and emphasized that its actions were a response to the recent attack on Qeshm Island.

Al-Azraq Airbase, located in eastern Jordan, is one of the country’s key military installations and has hosted international coalition forces in recent years.
