Mobile Health Team to Provide Free Eye Care Services in Khost Province

The Ministry of Public Health under the Taliban administration has announced that a mobile health team will be dispatched to Khost province to provide specialized eye treatment services. This team will operate in designated areas of the province from January 10 to 22, 2026.
According to the provided information, during this program, 350 eye surgeries are planned to be performed and 650 reading glasses will be distributed free of charge. Additionally, up to 5,000 eye patients will be examined and treated if necessary.
The Ministry of Public Health’s statement noted that the members of this health team will arrive in Khost on January 10 and will immediately begin providing services. These services are part of mobile health programs aimed at increasing access to specialized treatments for residents of remote areas.
The Ministry has called on residents of Khost suffering from eye diseases to visit the provincial health directorate at the specified time to benefit from these free and specialized services.
