345 Afghan Migrants Returned from Pakistan After Detention, Taliban Ministry Says

The Ministry of Refugees and Repatriations under the Taliban administration has announced that 345 Afghan migrants, who had been detained in various parts of Pakistan, have been returned to Afghanistan following their release. According to the ministry, the repatriation process was completed after the necessary administrative procedures.

Based on the information provided, these individuals were held in detention for one to two months. Upon release, they were registered with the Spin Boldak Transit Authority, where their documents were reviewed.

The Ministry of Refugees added that after receiving the necessary assistance, the migrants were transferred to their main areas of residence. However, no further details were provided regarding the type or extent of this aid.

The issue of detention and forced return of Afghan migrants in the region continues to raise ongoing concerns about their legal status and access to sustainable support. This highlights the need for clearer accountability from responsible bodies, particularly the Taliban administration, in providing effective support for returnees.
