Snow and Rain Forecast in Three Afghan Provinces, Strong Winds Expected Elsewhere

The Meteorological Department under the Taliban-led Ministry of Transport and Civil Aviation has announced that on Wednesday, December 16, three provinces in Afghanistan are expected to experience snow and rainfall.

According to the forecast, the provinces of Badghis, Herat, and Farah will be affected by this weather system, with rainfall and snowfall anticipated. Officials from the department stated that rainfall in various areas of these provinces will range between 10 to 30 millimeters.

Additionally, snowfall in some regions is expected to reach between 10 to 20 centimeters, potentially disrupting local travel and road conditions.

The Meteorological Department also noted that central and southern provinces of the country will experience strong winds during this weather event, with speeds ranging from 50 to 85 kilometers per hour.
