Six Arrested with Thousands of Narcotic Tablets in Kabul

Kabul’s Counter-Narcotics Police have announced that six local residents have been arrested for allegedly trafficking narcotic tablets during a series of targeted operations across the capital.
According to the department, around 3,000 narcotic tablets were seized from the suspects. The drugs appeared to have been prepared for sale within the city. The arrests were carried out in various areas of Kabul, though authorities have yet to disclose the exact locations.
Police confirmed that the detainees will be referred to the relevant judicial authorities after preliminary investigations are completed.
The surge in drug trafficking and sales in Kabul has raised serious concerns about the inefficiency and negligence of the Taliban administration, which currently controls key security and administrative centers. Critics argue that without a transparent system and institutional accountability, tackling organized crime networks has effectively become impossible.
