27 Million-Afghani Livelihoods and Forestry Project to Be Implemented in Kunar

The Taliban-run Ministry of Agriculture, Irrigation and Livestock has announced that the NGO Asia Society for Development will implement a project worth more than 27 million afghanis in Shegal district of Kunar province.

According to the ministry, the programme is focused on livelihoods and forestry and is being carried out under the title “Community-Based Climate-Resilient Livelihoods and Forestry.”

The Taliban administration said the project will be implemented over four months and will be funded by the United Nations Development Programme.

Shegal district is among the areas of Kunar province, parts of which have natural resources and forest areas.
