Afghan Athletes to Compete at 20th Asian Games in Japan

The Afghanistan National Olympic Committee has announced that athletes from the country will compete in various disciplines at the 20th Asian Games in Japan.
Mohammad Bauor Hotak, head of the Afghanistan National Olympic Committee, told Tolonews that after the sports directorate and Olympic body’s leadership decided to send athletes from within the country, the way was paved for Afghanistan’s sports delegation to take part in the event.
Meanwhile, officials from the Wushu Federation said Afghanistan’s national wushu team will leave Kabul for Japan today, Monday, to participate in the 2026 Asian Games.
The Asian Games are among the largest sporting events on the Asian continent, bringing together athletes from different countries to compete in a range of disciplines.
