Former Pakistan envoy urges review of decision on Afghan students
Mansoor Ahmad Khan, Pakistan’s former ambassador to Afghanistan, has called on the Pakistan Medical and Dental Council to reconsider its decision regarding Afghan students at the country’s medical universities and institutes.
He made the appeal citing humanitarian considerations and the historic ties between Afghanistan and Pakistan. According to him, the decision has a direct impact on the educational situation of Afghan students.
The former diplomat suggested that Afghan students be allowed to complete their studies and then return to Afghanistan after graduation.
The Pakistan Medical and Dental Council is the body responsible for regulating education and professional standards in the country’s medical and dental sectors, and its decisions can affect students’ ability to continue their studies at relevant universities and institutes.
