Ship traffic through Strait of Hormuz falls over past 10 days

Shipping reports show that vessel traffic through the Strait of Hormuz has declined significantly compared with the previous 10 days. Based on these reports, only four ships entered the waterway in the past 24 hours and one ship left it.

According to the published data, the daily average number of cargo ships passing through the Strait of Hormuz has now fallen to five. Over the past 10 days, the figure had been reported at an average of 14 ships per day.

The company Kpler also said traffic in the Strait of Hormuz in recent days has been largely limited to small vessels carrying liquefied gas.

The Strait of Hormuz is considered one of the world’s most important waterways, and a significant share of energy transport passes through it. Any disruption to shipping in this route usually affects maritime transport and energy markets.
