Six Taliban Administration Members Killed or Wounded in Nuristan Attack, Says Afghan Freedom Front

The Afghan Freedom Front has announced that six members of the Taliban administration were killed or wounded following an attack on a Taliban base in the Duab district of Nuristan province.

The front stated in a press release on Sunday, August 9, that its forces targeted a Taliban administration base last night. According to the statement, two Taliban administration members were killed and four others wounded in the attack.

The Taliban administration has not yet responded to the incident.

This report comes amid the fifth year of Taliban rule in Afghanistan, during which armed opposition fronts have increased their activities and some provinces have occasionally witnessed sporadic clashes between the sides.
