Israeli attacks on southern Lebanon continue, media report
Media outlets have reported that Israeli air and ground attacks in southern Lebanon have continued over the past hours.
According to Mehr News Agency, citing RT, artillery shelling has targeted the areas of al-Mansouri, Zawtar al-Sharqiyah, Baareshit, Kfar Tibnit and Beit Yahoun.
The report said Israeli fighter jets also bombed several areas over southern Lebanon, including al-Mansouri, Kfar Tibnit, Kfar Shouba and Aabel al-Saqi.
Local sources in Lebanon also reported an explosion in the al-Taybeh area caused by Israeli forces, adding that Doha Kfarrumman and Nabatieh al-Fawqa were also hit by artillery fire.
In further developments, Israeli ground forces advanced around Halta and at the same time fired heavily with machine guns.
Southern Lebanon, along the border with Israel, is one of the main areas of military tension between the two sides, and clashes in these areas have repeatedly led to an expansion of reciprocal attacks.
