Afghanistan Embassy in Tehran Changes Family Passport Distribution Process

The Embassy of Afghanistan in Tehran has announced a change in the procedure for delivering printed passports related to family cases. From now on, applicants must collect these documents directly from the embassy itself.

According to the embassy’s statement, previously, family passports were handed over to applicants through sponsorship offices. However, under the new system, receiving passports is only possible by obtaining a prior appointment through the embassy’s appointment scheduling system, and walk-ins will not be accepted.

The embassy emphasized that passports will be distributed in the order they were printed, and each applicant’s visit time will be determined via the appointment system.

Additionally, to prevent crowding at the embassy premises, only the head of the family can visit to receive passports for all family members, and the presence of other family members listed in the case is not required.

According to the Embassy of Afghanistan in Tehran, this is the first time family passports have been directly delivered by the embassy to Afghan families.
