Honey Production in Herat Reaches 250 Tons Amid Growing Beekeeping Industry

The press office of the Herat provincial authority under the Taliban administration has announced that honey production in this province has reached approximately 250 tons this year.

According to the released information, honey production last year was 170 tons, and the increase to 250 tons reflects the growth of beekeeping activities in Herat.

Several beekeepers expressed satisfaction with the opportunities provided, stating that support for domestic products has contributed to the development of this industry. They noted that the expansion of beekeeping not only boosts honey production but also creates more employment opportunities for the residents of the province.

Herat, located in western Afghanistan, is known as one of the country’s major centers for honey production due to its favorable climatic conditions.
