UNICEF Distributes Ready-to-Use Therapeutic Food to Severely Malnourished Children in Afghanistan

The United Nations Children’s Fund (UNICEF) has announced that it is providing ready-to-use therapeutic food to treat children suffering from severe malnutrition.

On Wednesday, July 22, UNICEF stated on its X page that this aid is supported by the European Union’s Humanitarian Aid department and aims to reduce cases of severe malnutrition among children.

UNICEF emphasized that the use of ready-to-use therapeutic food can help improve health and promote weight gain in children with severe malnutrition within a short period.

Severe malnutrition remains a serious health challenge in Afghanistan, and international organizations have repeatedly warned about its consequences on children’s growth and survival.
