Relief Institute Delivers $470,000 Worth of Medical Equipment to Herat Health Centers

Health officials in Herat province announced that 65 health centers in the region have received new medical and non-medical equipment, aiming to improve service quality and increase patient access to healthcare.

According to Dr. Mohammad Wali Ahmadzai, head of Herat’s Public Health Department, the Relief Institute, with financial support from UNICEF, delivered 116 different types of equipment valued at 37 million Afghanis to these centers.

He stated that the equipment includes internal machines, incubators, ultrasound devices, obstetric and medical tables, chairs, refrigerators, privacy curtains, cabinets, coolers, solar equipment, car batteries, and other essential items.

The head of the Public Health Department added that the equipment was purchased based on the urgent needs of the health centers and is expected to play a significant role in enhancing medical treatment services in the province.
