Ayatollah Khamenei Vows Unforgettable Lesson to US Amidst Nationwide Mourning
The Supreme Leader of the Islamic Republic of Iran, Ayatollah Ali Khamenei, in a message marking the large-scale funeral ceremonies for the martyred leader of the Islamic Revolution, accused the United States of repeatedly violating its commitments under the signed agreement between the presidents of the two countries. He affirmed that the Iranian nation will stand firm against pressures and threats.
In this message, released by Iranian media, the massive turnout at funeral ceremonies held in Tehran, Qom, Mashhad, and other cities was described as a “historic epic.” Khamenei called this turnout a sign of loyalty and national cohesion and expressed gratitude to the Iranian people for their participation in the ceremonies.
Referring to what he called the “repeated betrayals of the United States,” the leader stated that the signature of the US president cannot be trusted. He further emphasized that if tensions continue, the Iranian nation and its allied regional groups will respond accordingly.
In another part of the message, he stressed the importance of maintaining internal unity and avoiding political and social disputes. He urged citizens and officials to prioritize cohesion and solidarity in the current circumstances and warned that criticism should not undermine public unity.
Ayatollah Khamenei also referred to the Iranian people as the “owners of mourning” and expressed appreciation for their participation in the farewell ceremonies for the martyred leader of the Islamic Revolution, despite hardships and restrictions.
