Free Cataract Surgery Campaign Launched in Ghor Province

The Ministry of Public Health has announced the launch of a free eye treatment campaign in Ghor province, which will continue until August 8. According to the ministry’s statement, 400 free cataract surgeries will be performed during this program.
The statement also noted that the ministry’s mobile team will distribute 1,000 reading glasses to those in need. The goal of this initiative is to provide better access to specialized eye care services for residents of remote areas.
Furthermore, necessary medications will be distributed free of charge to approximately 4,500 to 5,000 patients suffering from various eye conditions. These services are part of the mobile health team’s mission.
The Ministry of Public Health has urged residents of Ghor province who are experiencing vision problems or other eye diseases to visit the provincial health directorate during the specified period to benefit from the planned services.
