Taliban’s Foreign Ministry Expresses Condolences to Bangladesh Flood Victims

The Taliban’s Foreign Ministry has expressed its condolences following the deaths of several Bangladeshi citizens due to floods and landslides. The ministry extended its sympathies to the families of the victims, the people, and officials of Bangladesh.

Abdul Qahar Balkhi, spokesperson for the ministry, posted a statement on his X page saying that the Taliban’s Foreign Ministry mourns these deadly events and wishes a speedy recovery to those injured.

According to reports, deadly and devastating floods in the capital and southeastern regions of Bangladesh have claimed dozens of lives and forced thousands of residents to abandon their homes.

Bangladesh has frequently experienced widespread flooding in recent years, which—due to its geographical location and heavy monsoon rains—has caused significant human and financial losses.
