One-Million-Afghani Drinking Water Project Launched in Logar Province

The Department of Urban Development and Housing in Logar has announced the commencement of a drinking water supply project in the third phase of the Migrants and Returnees Township in the province. According to officials, the project costs one million Afghanis and aims to alleviate the water shortage problem in this area.

Abdul Wahid Madad, the press officer of the department, stated that the project involves drilling three drinking water wells equipped with solar-powered electrical systems and installing the necessary equipment. He added that once these wells are completed, the residents of the township will have improved access to drinking water.

According to the provided information, the project’s funding comes from the Logar Department of Rural Rehabilitation and Development. The Migrants and Returnees Township has faced drinking water shortages in recent years, and its residents have repeatedly called for solutions to this problem.
