863 Migrant Families Return to Baghlan Province in First Three Months of Year

The Department of Refugees and Returnees in Baghlan has announced that 863 migrant families have returned to the province in the first three months of the current year. According to the department, returning families were registered and included in initial aid programs.
Seyed Ali Hosseini, head of the department’s communications section, stated that tents, drinking water, educational opportunities for children, and small business opportunities have been provided to these families. He also added that shelter has been allocated for some of the returnees.
The local official further said that the Taliban administration has allocated two townships in the central Baghlan and Dandghori districts to house the returnees. The distribution process of land plots in these townships is expected to begin soon after completing legal procedures.
Meanwhile, some returnees have criticized the Pakistani government’s treatment and the forced expulsion of Afghan migrants. They claim that despite economic challenges and a lack of job opportunities within Afghanistan, they have been compelled to return. This situation again highlights the urgent need for transparent and sustainable planning to integrate and genuinely support returnees.
