Saudi Arabia’s Humanitarian Aid Reaches $23.76 Billion Amid Ongoing Support Efforts

Saudi Arabia announced on June 20, World Refugee Day, that its total humanitarian aid to vulnerable individuals worldwide has reached $23.761 billion, with aid efforts continuing in dozens of countries.

According to Arab News, the amount allocated to refugees from Yemen, Syria, Sudan, and the Rohingya Muslims is expected to reach $20.43 billion by 2026. These aids include emergency support and various welfare projects across different sectors.

The King Salman Humanitarian Aid and Relief Center, established in 2015, stated it has provided over $8.482 billion in assistance to 113 countries so far. This aid has come in the form of establishing camps, launching mobile clinics, distributing food and shelter, and implementing water, sanitation, and health services projects.

Last Saturday, the center began constructing a new camp for displaced people in northern Khan Yunis in southern Gaza. The camp aims to provide shelter for families who have lost their homes amid the ongoing war.
