Logar Residents Begin Construction of New School Building for Ahrar Primary School

Residents of Logar province have initiated the construction of a new building for the Ahrar Primary School in the Jabbari area, near the provincial capital Pul-e-Alam, with financial support from local inhabitants. Local education officials estimate the total cost of the project at around 600,000 Afghanis, funded by the youth of Shalk village, the Ahrar Educational Foundation, and several education-minded residents.

Shahpur Arab, spokesperson for the Logar Education Department, stated that this school began operating under the Ministry of Education’s supervision four years ago and currently educates nearly 200 students. He added that the completion of the new building will provide a better learning environment for the pupils.

Local residents emphasized that the lack of standard school buildings is a major challenge in many parts of Logar. Community-driven efforts to build educational facilities help to address some of these gaps. Meanwhile, there are hopes that the Taliban administration will pay greater attention to developing educational infrastructure in the provinces so that the burden of meeting children’s educational needs does not fall solely on the people.
