Khatam al-Anbia Base Announces Reclosure of Strait of Hormuz in Response to South Lebanon Ceasefire Violations

The Central Headquarters of Hazrat Khatam al-Anbia announced that the Strait of Hormuz will be closed again to vessel traffic in response to what it described as “violations of the ceasefire in southern Lebanon.” This decision was released in an official statement.
The statement noted that this action was taken in reaction to the United States’ failure to fulfill the first clause of the war-ending agreement and the ongoing ceasefire violations committed by the Zionist regime in southern Lebanon. It claimed that the attacks in the area have resulted in widespread killing and displacement of civilians, and that Zionist forces have not withdrawn from some parts of southern Lebanon.
The Khatam al-Anbia Base emphasized that the closure of the Strait of Hormuz is the “first step” in response to recent developments, and that further measures will be taken if the situation continues.
The Strait of Hormuz is one of the world’s most vital maritime passages in the Persian Gulf region, accounting for a significant portion of energy transportation and maritime trade. Any change in the status of this waterway usually provokes extensive regional and international repercussions.
