Iran Launches Missile Strikes on Israeli Military Targets in Response to Ceasefire Violations

Armed forces of the Islamic Republic of Iran announced on Sunday evening that, in response to what they described as the “repeated violations of the ceasefire on the Lebanon front,” they have launched missile attacks targeting a series of military and strategic sites in Israel. According to official Iranian sources, dozens of ballistic missiles were fired at key bases and centers during this operation.

Reports indicate that sirens sounded simultaneously in Tel Aviv, Haifa, and parts of central regions amid the missile strikes. Iranian military sources emphasized that the designated targets were hit with “high precision” and stated that the action was carried out within the framework of the right to self-defense.

Iranian officials stated that this operation took place after the ceasefire agreement, reached following the 40-day war involving Iran, Israel, and the United States, was repeatedly violated. They noted that the ceasefire, brokered by Pakistan in Islamabad, included a key condition to stop hostilities on all fronts, including Lebanon.

Previously, Iran had warned that it would respond if the conflict expanded to Beirut. Iranian authorities reiterated that continued attacks in Lebanon or other fronts could prompt reciprocal responses.

On the other side, Israeli officials have yet to release official details concerning any potential damages. These latest developments come amid unprecedented tensions and direct confrontations between involved parties in the region over recent months—a situation that has heightened concerns about the escalation of the conflict.
