Two US Soldiers Missing During Multinational Military Exercise in Morocco

The United States military has announced that two American soldiers went missing during the multinational “African Lion” exercise in southwestern Morocco, with search operations ongoing to locate them.
The US Africa Command (AFRICOM) issued a statement indicating that the two soldiers disappeared near the city of Tan-Tan in southwestern Morocco. According to the command, search teams have been deployed in the area to determine their status and whereabouts.
The “African Lion” exercise has been held annually in Morocco since 2004. This military exercise is jointly organized by the United States and the Moroccan Armed Forces.
