Serbian President Warns US-EU Relations Have Reached a Point of No Return

Serbian President Aleksandar Vučić stated that the reduction of the US military presence in Germany signals that relations between Washington and the European Union have entered an irreversible phase. He said this decision sends a clear message about the growing divergence of interests across the Atlantic and could have broad political repercussions.
Referring to the decision by US President Donald Trump to withdraw some American troops from Germany, Vučić emphasized that this move is not merely a military repositioning but carries an important political message regarding the future of relations between the two major Western powers.
According to him, the interests of the US and the EU are no longer aligned, which has pushed their relations into a new phase. Vučić added that this trend could lead to a gradual confrontation between Washington and Berlin—a conflict he believes might expand in the future.
The Serbian president also warned that escalating disagreements between the US and its European allies could negatively impact Serbia’s economy, politics, and trade. Without providing further details, he stressed the importance of Serbia remaining vigilant and prepared for these new developments.
