Taliban Traffic Department Intensifies Vehicle Document Enforcement, Owners Ordered to Complete Legal Paperwork

The General Directorate of Traffic under the Taliban-led Ministry of Interior has issued a statement mandating all vehicle owners to urgently complete and obtain legal documentation for their vehicles; otherwise, vehicles lacking proper documents will be stopped.
According to the statement, owners who have previously registered their vehicles and received only stickers but have not yet obtained a driving permit and license plates must promptly visit the relevant traffic police departments to secure their official documents.
Additionally, owners whose vehicle documents have expired are required to visit traffic police directorates and management offices in provinces to renew their driving permits and other legal documents.
The General Directorate of Traffic has warned that failure to comply will result in traffic police stopping unregistered vehicles, which will not be permitted to operate or travel on roads until the documentation issues are resolved.
