UNICEF Delivers School Supplies to Children in Badakhshan

The United Nations Children’s Fund (UNICEF) has announced that, in collaboration with the Asian Development Bank, the World Bank, and the Global Partnership for Education, it has distributed basic school supplies to children in various parts of Afghanistan.

According to the organization, the aid includes items such as school bags, exercise books, pens, and pencils—simple but vital tools that enable education for thousands of children. UNICEF emphasized that these basic supplies can open significant doors to the future for children.

In Badakhshan province, children like Nafisa have been able to continue their education thanks to receiving these supplies. Residents of this mountainous province in northeastern Afghanistan have long faced challenges accessing educational services, and providing basic school materials can play an important role in reducing this deprivation.

UNICEF’s international partner organizations have stated that they will continue to support education in Afghanistan to ensure that children across the country, especially in remote areas, do not miss out on educational opportunities.
